In this teaching method selection, I mainly chose two methods: inquiry-based learning and cooperative learning. These two teaching methods are used in many environments. These two methods are also the most important methods used to solve problems in my teaching process, especially inquiry-based learning.

Inquiry-based learning is a learning approach based on students’ autonomy, discovery, and exploration. Traditional classroom teaching focuses on teachers imparting knowledge points and problem-solving methods, while exploratory learning strives to allow students to discover, analyze, and solve problems on their own, advocating for independent learning and cultivating innovative thinking. In the process of exploratory learning, teachers will provide students with professiona l learning resources and tools, encouraging them to actively engage in collaborative exploration. Just like in this theme design, the main theme we explored during the learning process is the three forms of matter. In the process of exploration, students need to personally understand matter, explore the essence and classification of matter. In my study pods, other people also chose this teaching method and gained a lot of experience through exploration. They see the importance of inquiry-based learning for student growth and applied the learning design blueprint to teaching activities.

Cooperative learning refers to mutual aid learning with clear division of responsibilities among students, with the help and guidance of teachers, in order to complete common tasks. Cooperative learning often involves both collective and personal interests, and students gain personal growth through completing common tasks. Just like in this theme design, we designed a division of labor, hoping that students can discover the mysteries of material transformation through joint cooperation. When we were creating the blueprint for learning and design, we also had a very clear division of labor and cooperation, dividing the specific content of the slides and working together to plan and discuss and complete all tasks.
